From the Year 2015 – Airscape: The Fall of Gravity

Unique Level designs in a weird gravity based platformer. Interested? Read on….

Airscape: The Fall of Gravity is a fast-paced, gravity-shifting action platformer about a deep-sea octopus who has been kidnapped by a mechanical alien race. Control a Dumbo Octopus (Grimpoteuthis abyssicola) on a skybound adventure to save its family from the clutches of the motorized menace. Jump, dodge, and swim through a breathtaking environment full of floating islands, water formations, and robotic terrors. There’s no fighting in Airscape – you’ll have to rely on your wits, speed, and reflexes to navigate through the deadly gauntlets.

  • Innovative gravity system that will have players flipping and revolving around the level
  • Unique swimming mechanic that meshes perfectly with the gravity gameplay
  • Physics-based terrain allows the level to shift around the player in a moment’s notice

The game introduces the concept in quickly with your octopi family abducted and dropped into floating islands.

Beginning the levels start off easy but it flips that on its head the further in the player gets. Since there is not many gravity based platformers, the difficulty curve ramps up – in a good way.

With 6o plus levels and tight controls to use, added to that a niche art style, it works well and drags the player in. Just one more level…. Just one more level…

A solid platformer with a unique concept. The gravity flipping and dipping can get players a bit nauseous, if you can get over that fact this is a good game.

With the motion sickness issue, we put the game to a 3/5.

3 out of 5
