Battlesouls – PC Beta Thoughts

129

Since we are able to discuss it with no embargo, we talk all things Battlesouls.  Version 0.5.3.

About

“Join the battle for the legendary soul crystals in the fast-paced PvP action game where Class Change is King — BattleSouls! Freely switch between a loadout of three heroes of your choosing, each with his or her own unique abilities, to destroy the opposition’s soul crystals before they destroy yours in action-packed melee and ranged combat.”

Gameplay

The game is very MOBA like with its influences definitely from LOL and DOTA with added Team Fortress 2.

Characters

Each character plays differently and we enjoyed the variety it offers since you play as 3 characters.  Interchanging in game similar to how Overwatch works but limiting it to a loadout of 3 characters is a interesting idea.  To get full thoughts on how it will work – we need to see more characters added but we see promise.

Maps/Modes

Overall the 1 mode we got to play – on the 1 map didn’t really add much to it. So in its current mode it lacks that re-playability. However since in beta – we cant hold that against them. They will obviously hold some of their good stuff behind for full release.

Overall

It has a long way to go, to get to the point to compete with other MOBAs and other games similar to it – lots need to be added.  Been in beta, we see lots of promise upon building some unique characters  off the ones presented to us already.  Seeing a classic warrior, support, wizard and a stealth short range unit already – why not a fire wizard or a water wizard offering variety of the same unit design.

Cant wait to see more progress, good luck to them.

  1. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to
get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance.
I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this.

In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Opera.

    Excellent Blog!

  2. It’s a shame you don’t have a donate button! I’d certainly donate to this fantastic blog!
I suppose for now i’ll settle for book-marking and adding your RSS feed
to my Google account. I look forward to new updates and will talk about this
site with my Facebook group. Chat soon!
