Behind The Microphone – Vita Chambers

Vita Chambers is hitting the music scene with a bang, her last single A+D was a smash hit and Fix You spent an incredible 20 weeks in the Billboard Charts, in the top 100!  Fix You was also nominated in the Juno Awards for Best Dance Record and is currently a Gold record in Canada.

Her eagerly anticipated album, set for release in early 2015 is directed by Aaron Dean and her new single Tell Me was produced by Anthony Baah, fitting right into her matured album. Vita has been on on tour with Justin Bieber and looks forward to getting out on the road with a tour of her own across America and Europe in the near future.

Hot on the heels of her new single, Tell Me, we had a chance to grab a quick few minutes with Vita to find out more about her and her music!

What made you decide to get into music?

I always loved music. I don’t ever remember a time not wanting to peruse music.

You have just toured with Justin Beiber, what was that like?

That was in 2010 when I was 17. I was over the moon. It was such an incredible experience. I learnt a lot from that tour.

Vita-Chambers1What inspires your music?

My life. I write about my experiences, fears, hopes and dreams. It’s easier for me to express myself through my lyrics.

You have an amazing fashion sense, what designers influence you?  Do you have any favourite shops or particular pieces you wear?

Thank you! I love Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent & Esteban Cortázar.

What has been the most exciting thing to happen to you in the last year?

Definitely touring in Tokyo and Thai Land.

photo (2)What is in your handbag?

First things first my phone, then a small make-up bag for touch ups, perfume, my aviators, wallet and a compact mirror.
