Weekend Results – 17th -19th

Rotherham 2 – Leeds 1

Leeds had a great first half but it all fell apart when Rotherham made a change and came out fighting.

Cardiff 2 – Nottingham Forest 1

Russell Slade got his Cardiff manager career off to a great start – a victory against the then unbeaten Nottingham Forest.

Sheffield Wed. 0 – Watford 3

Watford controlled the game and surprise people with their manager issues can still do great in the league.

Reading 0 – Derby 3

Clinical Derby  beat Reading who struggled in to score in the numerous chances they had.

Wigan 0 – Brentford 0

Plenty of chances but neither team could do anything in front of goal.

Birmingham 0 – Bolton 1

Neil Lennon is on the winning start with a win over 10 man Birmingham.  This was Clark’s last game in charge.

Bournemouth 1 – Charlton 0

Charlton lost the last remaining unbeaten streak with a goal in the third minute.

Brighton 1 – Middlesbrough 2

Brighton on a 8 game losing streak – the manager is frustrated that they had chances but could not follow through.

Fulham 1 – Norwich 0

Kit Symons continues to develop his team’s performance and manages to stop Norwich from scoring.

Huddersfield 4 – Blackpool 2

Huddersfield continue the form of new managers doing well with Powell’s men doing great against a team likely to go down.

Ipswich 1 – Blackburn 1

Ipswich were due to win the game against 10 man Blackburn but a last minute free kick meant the points were shared.

Millwall 3 – Wolves 3

Millwall fought from 3 -0 down to claim a point. Ricardo Fuller was the main spur for Millwall.

 

 

Mid-Week – 21st

 

Blackburn 1 – Birmingham 0

Blackburn shone against managerless Birmingham. Marshall got the goal again.

Blackpool 0 – Derby 1

Blackppol nearly got the point but a penalty late on kept Derby on a roll.

Cardiff 3 – Ipswich 1

Slade’s second game in charge started badly with Ipswich taking the lead. Then Cardiff mounted a comeback to make Slade’s start 2-0.

Bournemouth 3 – Reading 0

Two teams going in opposite directions with Bournemouth winning a few and Reading losing. Reading seem to be building for the long term – but still need points.

Brentford 0 – Sheffield Wed. 0

A well fought draw.

Charlton 2 – Bolton 1

Lennon was happy with the team’s spirit but spirit does not win points.

Rotherham 3 – Fulham 3

A game which led to two teams with good scoring performances but bad defenses led to a draw.

Watford 2 – Nottingham Forest 2

Two teams at the top end of the table fought hard for a two all draw.

Huddersfield 1 – Brighton 1

Hudderfield are now on a 5 match unbeaten streak.

Norwich 1 – Leeds 1

A game where one team had more luck in each half. Leeds Brazilian Adryan came on for his game since joining Leeds – He creating the goal and ooks to be a positive player in a improving Leeds Squad. Bad News came in form of a rasict complaint by Cameron Jerome on Giuseppe Bellusci. An  investigation is now pending.
Wigan 0 – Millwall 0

Wigan dominated throughout but could not perform in front of goal.

Wolves 2 – Middlesbrough 0

Sako and Dicko provided the difference. Middlesbrough struggled to keep up with those two players.

 

Current Top 5 and Bottom 5

Current top 5 – Derby, Watford, Middlesbrough, Wolves and Norwich.

Current bottom 5 – Blackpool, Bolton, Fulham, Birmingham and Brighton.
