These can be made quick and simple they can be jazzed up also. Great for picnics, lunch boxes buffets or just a quick snack, and can be made in no time at all.

This is a so a great recipe to make with your little ones as there is lots for them to help with

Basic recipe makes about 20, depending on what shapes and sizes you choose.

100g / 4oz Self-rising flour

Pinch of salt

Pinch of mustard

50g/3oz Margarine

75g 3oz Cheddar cheeseIMG_2234

1 medium egg beaten

Oven heated to 180oC, 350oF Gas Mark 4

Grease the baking trays Kids can help

Mix together the flour, salt and mustard and rub in the Margarine to make bread crumbs. Put it all in a food processor as this makes great breadcrumbs easy and less sticky too!! But if you want the Kids to help doing it by hand is great for them.

Stir in the cheese, grated anyway is fine but I prefer it finely done the food processor is also great for this.IMG_2237

Add the egg to make stiff dough do this bit by bit as I have used all the egg!!

Roll out thinly, or thick, whichever you prefer.

Place on baking tray and prick with a folk and wash with either egg or milk

Bake for 10-15 mins watch them because they can cook quickly.
