Simple is good when it comes to cooking, especially when you have a lot of mouths to feed. So cheap, feeds plenty and great taste is super important.
These can be made quick and simple they can be jazzed up also. Great for picnics, lunch boxes buffets or just a quick snack, and can be made in no time at all.

Basic recipe makes about 20, depending on what shapes and sizes you choose.
100g / 4oz Self-rising flour
Pinch of salt
Pinch of mustard
75g 3oz Cheddar cheese
1 medium egg beaten
Oven heated to 180oC, 350oF Gas Mark 4

Mix together the flour, salt and mustard and rub in the Margarine to make bread crumbs. Put it all in a food processor as this makes great breadcrumbs easy and less sticky too!! But if you want the Kids to help doing it by hand is great for them.
Add the egg to make stiff dough do this bit by bit as I have used all the egg!!
Roll out thinly, or thick, whichever you prefer.
Place on baking tray and prick with a folk and wash with either egg or milk
Bake for 10-15 mins watch them because they can cook quickly.

You can add mixed dried herbs to make them a little different or even some chili powered is nice if you like spicy
