This is one of the most promising looking next gen games for next gen consoles set to be released in early 2015 and is certainly looking like it is going to set the standard for the new wave of incoming games.
The Witcher franchise started it’s cycle exclusively on PC, by the second game it was also released to Xbox 360. For the third instalment it is set to be released for Xbox one, Playstation 4 and PC.
The game was again covered at this years Gamescom by IGN and also showcased an extended gameplay demo with commentary from senior level designer Peter Gelencser.
So following on from Gamescom we get hands on with a series of images of screenshots and artwork to share.
These images capture menace and atmosphere and that is the games character included.
Though the use of the artwork images being used for loading screens is an ideal use for them from my perspective, this is not information that has been shared with the magazine.
More excitingly the game has released a stunning cinematic trailer at the golden joystick awards 2014 that looks like it is spliced with Game of thrones and Skyrim.
This game is looking set to be brutal, dark and gloriously detailed and scaled.
The Witcher 3 has been nominated in the most wanted category of games at the Golden Joysticks award and stole the crown, and quite rightly so. A huge congratulations to CD PROJEKT RED.
