Investments can be a gamble at the best of times, but when four friends reconnect at a funeral and begin devising a way to make a quick buck, they make an investment that goes horribly wrong they decide to track down the source of the problem when they realise they are now in trouble with the mob.  Having expected to received a life changing windfall, the friends now have a mountain of debts and a price on their head so a plan quickly emerges to kidknap the nephew of a rival gangster and hold him for ransom, thereby being able to pay off the crime boos that is after them already.  Of course tensions are very high and there is every chance they might kill each other before they get the chance to pay off the mob.

6213A fantastic cast star in Jackie Earle Haley’s directorial debut, Criminal Activities, in fact he himself stars alongside John Travolta (Pulp Fiction, Face/Off), Michael Pitt (Boardwalk Empire, Hannibal) and Dan Stevens (A Walk Amongst the Tombstones, Downton Abbey) in a film that brings out the best in Travolta and easily transitions from a comedy to surprising violence.  Dark and full of humour the film is filled with twists that will have you gasping and bloody violence that will have you gripped to the screen.

6215Courtesy of RLJ Entertainment LTD, Criminal Activities is a must see gripping thriller that has an air of the gritty 90s gangster flicks that we all know and love, which is why Travolta is so perfectly suited for his role. Available from today for £12.99 (RRP)
