Discstorm – PC Game Review

Fast and Furious Arena Combat game, Interested? Read On….

Fast-paced and furious, DiscStorm is an arena combat game where split-second reactions are essential to dodge flying discs as they ricochet around at breakneck speed.

  • Fast-paced arena combat – Gameplay that’s easy to pick up, but truly difficult to master: dodge and deflect flying discs as they ricochet around the arena at lightning speed.
  • Diverse online multi-player – Invite friends over or battle them online. DiscStorm offers a variety of diverse game match types; fight it out in a classic first-to-ten deathmatch or strive to keep the crown in the hectic ‘Regicide’ mode.
  • Epic boss fights – Each arena brings its own unique play-style and enemies. Whether it be the laser-shooting Stone Golem in the jungle temple or the lava-spewing Fire Elemental of the volcano lair, exciting new challenges await you at every turn.
  • Striking retro art and music – the soundtrack fuses modern dance trends with retro chiptunes, whilst the artwork blends classic pixel art with high fidelity graphics.

Rolling in the deep battles with 3 discs is strange but adds a challenge to the arena battles. 3 key shots and having to pick up before shooting again is key.

Single player adventure boasts a weird and wild adventure filled with haunted mansions and pirate ships – all coming with formidable enemies and boss fights.

Multiplayer is offline and online and thats where the fun comes. Trying it out the different scenarios to the deathmatchs was fun.

Inspired by classic 90s consoles, DiscStorm evokes retro nostalgia with its upbeat chip-tune soundtrack and bold pixel-art visuals.

The gameplay hits the notes well in multiplayer but does not quite do the same in singleplayer. If you have lots of friends around or lots of friends online this is worth the pickup.

The multiplayer drags our score up to 3/5

3 out of 5
