It has been a tough week in This War of Mine for the Erisea team members stranded in the war-torn city – Erika, Carl and Damon. Although the week begun well, with some good scavenging and nice hauls, meaning the team could eat and build improvements to their refuge, on day four tragedy struck as team Erisea were attacked in the night by a band of careless thugs, not willing to work for the little sustenance that our three brave heroes had amassed. Instead these fiends came into their sanctuary and defiled it whilst Erika was out working hard to bring home the bacon, (wouldn’t that be nice).
Erika returned to find the once safe home of three solid nights, trashed and ripped apart, okay slight exaggeration, but this was a traumatic event for the team. Damon and Carl were both savagely injured as they bravely fought off the devilish foes at their door. Had it not been for the preparations made by the team on the previous days, things could have been much more severe. As it was the boarded up windows and primitive weapons saved them from a much worse fate.
The week improved with the discovery of soe food and water in a nearby abandoned cottage, but medical supplies were in dire need now with two of the team out for who knows how long. The pressure is on Erika to scavenge, repair, build, cook and heal the team. Will she be able to cope? Will the boys recover? Will This War of Mine end prematurely as the ravages of war devour our brave troops who just want to survive?
Find out this and more next week when we return!
