The NHL Returns to PC with Franchise Hockey Manager 3 on October 17, 2016
New Version of Hockey Strategy Game to Feature Real Teams For 2016-17 Season, New Career Mode, and More
OOTP Developments today announced that Franchise Hockey Manager 3 will ship on October 17, 2016 and will be officially licensed by the National Hockey League (NHL®) for the first time in FHM’s history, among many new and revamped features. The NHL license allows all teams in the game to have real logos and uniforms for an authentic hockey experience.
FHM 3 will sell for a special price of $29.99 for all pre-orders ($39.99 at launch) and will be available for PC and Mac through Steam, the OOTP Developments site, and other online retailers.
FHM 3 boasts these features:
- Officially licensed by the NHL®! Teams will have their real logos, insignias, and uniforms along with the Stanley Cup® Championship and post-season awards!
- All-New ‘Path To Glory’ Mode: A streamlined and more approachable way to play, with improved game and information flow as well as news from around the world that impacts your experience.
- Generate your GM/Coach, assign your skills as you wish, start low and work your way up – or take the helm of your favourite team and take it to the Stanley Cup® Championship!
- New Role-Based Tactical System: Allows the coach to choose from a variety of pre-set tactics to build their team’s “system” and then assign players specific roles that fit into that system.
The “Path to Glory” mode should be an improvement for those of us with limited time to play games. The other changes look to improve upon the good basics set out in the last game.
More news when we get it – Lots to look forward to on release.
