One of the most iconic bands in history, The Beatles are known worldwide for their status as the ultimate boy band.
The beginnings of The Beatles can be traced back to 1957, when at just 16 years old Paul McCartney met John Lennon and an incredible bond was created over a love of music. Inside just two years, the pair had come across the other members of the band and managed to get their first ever booking at a club called Casbah. The band actually helped to paint and decorate the club in time for their performance.
It was in 1961 that The Beatles seemed to explode into the pubic eye and begin their spectacular climb to celebrity when they played the famous Cavern in Liverpool. It didn’t take very long for them to be signed by Brian Epstein and start producing number one singles.
In 1962 the band visited EMI Studios and it quickly became one of the most famous recording studios, its name – Abbey Road.
Abbey Road became a magnet for Beatles fans far and wide, even today people flock to the site and leave graffiti messages for John, Paul, George and Ringo. You have probably even seen the road yourself, even if you haven’t been there, a photo taken of The Beatles there, is possibly one of the most famous pictures around.
Over the years there have been so many ways that people have immortalised this incredible band, from t-shirts, coasters and jewellery, to posters, accessories and badges. Most of the time these items are focused on the band themselves, the four lads from Liverpool who became legends of the music world. It is hard to find anything unique, until now.
We came across the Love Roobarb website and stumbled upon one of their handbags, immediately falling head over heels in love.
The bowling bag comes in either a red top or a black top, made from extremely soft leather like PU material and is easily cleaned. The front of the bag is fantastic, the famous road sign for Abbey Road where Emi Studios is located and The Beatles recorded much of their music. The road sign have been lovingly recreated to the extent that the fan graffiti is part of the bag.
Not just a fantastic design, well made and full of character, the bag is commemorating a piece of history, the perfect gift for any fan of The Beatles.
We adore our Abbey Road bag and you can pick up one of your very own on Love Roobarb for £38.00 and they even have a matching wash bag, wallet and reporter bag.
