From the Year 2015 – Guild of Dungeoneering

Like Dungeons, Like silly songs. Interested? Read On….

Guild of Dungeoneering is a turn-based dungeon crawler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot!

Simple but innovative. Leading a guild of adventurers into dungeons.  The dungeon is created by cards that the player places. So direction is only by what cards are out and what the player picks.  Simple.

That simple concept is extended into combat too. Cards work on how the fights develop and how well the dungeon run goes.

Progression between dungeons adds to the variety. It adds allot of depth to the game with the building of your guild too.

Guild building 2

Each room adds an extra card to the deck or extra “dungeoneer” to send to battle.  Put it this way, in our playthrough we have played several hours and enjoying the game greatly.

Great new version of a dungeon game with rpg elements.  Lots of fun gameplay with lots of dungeoneer fails. However that’s part of the game, learning through the characters dying. It took us a while to learn the best way to get through a level but thats part of the fun.

The songs meld the game together.  Silly fun and one of the best games we have played this year.

5 out of 5
