Nice to meet you Laura. You are here today to talk about a charity event you are doing but first, please introduce yourself to our audience.

I’m Laura Hamilton, a TV presenter who is often in Sunnier climes on ‘A Place in the Sun’.  I recently joined the presenting team on ‘Cowboy Builders’.  I was runner up on the 2011 series of ‘Dancing on Ice’ and appeared on the first series of Channel 4’s Winter sport show ‘The Jump’.  My biggest job of all though is being a Mummy to my 15 month old son Rocco and my second child is due in less than 8 weeks.  I’ve teamed up with Dreams Come True charity and am proud to be their Dream Tea ambassador

What brought you to Dream Tea Week?

It’s an amazing charity and a wonderful event that I am able to support.  The majority of people love afternoon tea and when I heard about the fundraising event I thought it would be great to use my baby shower as opportunity to help raise awareness for the charity and host a Dream Tea/Baby shower where instead of receiving gifts I would like donations made to the charity.

You have grown and developed with in the TV world. What has been your favourite moment within TV?

Taking part in The Jump, just 4 weeks after my first son Rocco was born was an incredible experience, as was being taught to ice skate by Torvill and Dean.  I’m really lucky with my presenting job I get to travel all over the place and my children get to experience it with me!

With the TV work, we see in the gaps you tend to still do more work. This time for Charity. What are the highlights of the massive amounts of charity work you do?

I’m not a hugely well known but I believe when you have any kind of profile, if you can help raise awareness for charities you feel passionate about then you should. It’s amazing to be able to give something back.

Good to hear. Nice to see the positivity you have about all you do.

You tend to do mainly travel shows or travel to foreign countries to do Shows. How did you get into this? What do you enjoy most about it?

I travel both abroad and within the UK with my job at the moment.  I didn’t plan it, it just happened!  Rocco has travelled to a lot of places in the first year of his life – not that he will remember it! I really love my job but eventually I would love to present entertainment shows that are studio based!

It sounds like a wonderful journey you have been on.

What would you like Dream Tea Week to achieve?

I would love the charity to raise more this year than they have ever raised before.  If I can make a little bit of a difference it would mean a great deal to me but most importantly them.

Hope you can be apart of Dream Tea Week.
