Chef’s Table features six of the world’s most renowned international chefs, and offers viewers the opportunity to go inside the lives and kitchens of these culinary talents. The chefs featured include:
Episode 1: Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy)
Massimo Bottura is an Italian restaurateur. He is the main chef of Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy. His European cooking is the focus of episode 1.
Episode 2: Dan Barber (Blue Hill Restaurant at Stone Barns and in New York City, USA)
Dan Barber is a chef and the co-owner of Blue Hill restaurants. One is in Manhattan and one in Pocantico Hills, New York. His Amerian style of cooking is the focus of episode 2.
Episode 3: Francis Mallmann (El Restaurante Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Francis Mallmann is arguably Argentina’s most high profile chef. Have to say, we had not heard of him but reading up on him. Dam.
His rustic cooking and his open fire approach to cooking meat is a focus of episode 4.
Episode 4: Niki Nakayama (N/Naka Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA, USA)
The American Japanese chef, Niki Nakayama is the focus of episode 4. Committed to exploring these new techniques, she has been on working tours of Japan. She has explored the different regional flavors and has immersed herself in all things – Japanese Cuisine.
She has come back to LA, and opened her own successful restaurants building upon it.
Episode 5: Ben Shewry (Attica Restaurant in Melbourne, Australia)
New Zealander Ben Shewry has focused his Melbourne Restaurant to focus on a sophisticated but grounded dining experiences. Looking at earthy flavours and to foraged for its ingredients.
Sounds great, his story is the focus of episode 5.
Episode 6: Magnus Nilsson (Fäviken in Järpen Sweden)
Magnus Nilson is a Swedish Head Chef at Faviken in Sweden. He is the final focus of the series, episode 6.
