CRAGHOPPERS Men’s Bowshaw Jacket – Black

by Alice Hassall

image007The days are getting darker, the temperature is dropping and those long country dog walks or dark commutes to work, are starting to look closer than ever. As the summer sun fades, we find ourselves looking to the coat hooks in the hall and wandering whether last year’s coat is in any fit state to cut this winters mustard.

Whether you are on a long walk with the dog, your family or just the everyday commute to work, a decent coat to help you brave the cold gusts of Autumn and the downpours of winter is a must.

Luckily for us Craghoppers has a great selection of Men’s coats this AW14.

This black Bowshaw jacket is a fusion of heritage-style softshell with a high-loft Sherpa fleece lining and creates a smart winter-ready addition to your wardrobe.

With a tweed wind and water repellent outer and a warm heat retaining fleece inner, this coat is the perfect, cosy and fashionable must have for those who brave the cold for whatever reason this autumn/winter. The 2 lower zipped pockets make it easy to store those must have dog accessories or every day gadgets and the hood means you’re covered for those tradition British rainy days. At just £100 it is at a steal too as its competitors come in at a much higher price for a lot less quality.

Craghoppers Edingdale Tweed Women’s Jacket

by Katy Dyer

image008It’s always been a little tricky to find a balance between style and function when it comes to technical travel and outdoor clothing. But with the new season Edingdale Jacket from Craghoppers, the gap has been filled. Whilst the jacket is tailored, the top layer shell has the benefits of the AquaDry soft shell, making it both waterproof and wind resistant – perfect for cooler months in the city and breezy weekend walks in the country – or further afield.

The outer shell is a smart tweed available in Charcoal Grey or Dark Mushroom Marl (mid-brown) – both really flattering shades. Aside from looks, the Edingdale feels gorgeous. The snug soft fleecy Sherpa lining is soft and cosy and in fact retains body heat for extra warmth. But for all that, it doesn’t add bulk to the classic lines of the design. The jacket is really practical too – two large zipped side pockets perfect for purse and phone. The hood will protect against wind and rain – plus it comes complete with removable fur trim (you WON’T want to take this off come winter!). A big plus is the SmartDry technology a water-repellent treatment which will keep the jacket drier for much longer keeping it lighter, warmer and a whole lot more comfortable.

The longer line of the design (31.5”, seeing as you asked) means your back is fully covered and the back vent with popper ensure you stay warm (looking forward to wearing this jacket over the football season where much of the weekend will be spent watching under 8’s football matches in what always feels like near Arctic conditions – this year should be MUCH more toasty!). Adjustable cuff popper fastening again means that you can be secured against all the weather can throw at you and what’s more it’s stain resistant too.

Craghoppers have a great reputation for travel clothing – but it’s not just the technical fabrics that set the brand apart. With this jacket, the style works so well for travel and day to day wear that you would be forgiven for just forgetting its technical design.

Craghoppers also have a fabulous range of outdoor accessories that are a perfect match for the Edingdale jacket. Hats, scarves, gloves for daily winter wear plus more outdoors and travel items such as socks, tops and fleece in technical fabrics. Check out the statement logo tees too.

Edingdale Softshell Jacket. Available in Charcoal or Dark Mushroom from size 8 to 20.
