Panoramic POD

How do you capture memories? Do you have a camera – or do you use your phone?

Capturing the perfect panorama has previously been problematic. You need to move your phone at a constant speed and not move it up or down as you pan. Of course many times this does result in absolute hilarity, when someone has a random monkey head instead of their own, or a person has a horses leg for a body.  Generally though when we try to take a panoramic image, that’s what we want and flat picture of 360° of goodness, or similar.

Introducing the Panoramic POD

It’s a tripod that clamps your camera phone, at a fixed angle and pans over 240 degrees – a 25 second time frame -to create a perfect panorama.

You simply screw the clamp onto the tripod, insert your phone and angle accordingly. Then you twist anti-clockwise and press the shutter.

It’s that simple!

Small enough to fit into your bag, no batteries are required as the mechanism simply winds up and turns consistently and smoothly to produce the image.

The Panoramic POD is available for just £15.99 from IWOOT

  4. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

  5. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
