Amidst the hustle, bustle and – let’s face it, it is a gym – sweaty and musty atmosphere of the prestigious Reebok sports club in Canary Wharf, the Re:Spa sits in the middle like an oasis of peace and tranquility.

As soon as you walk through the glass partition, you are transported into a calmer world, and almost instantly you will feel yourself start to relax, as you inhale the aromatherapy scents and settle yourself into the sofas while you wait for your therapist to come and take you through to the treatment rooms.

The Re:Spa offers a full range of beauty treatments, therapies and sports rehabilitation. They also have an express treatment bar, eight luxurious treatment rooms and a dedicated relaxation area.

ReSpa receptionMassage away the stresses of the day

If you want someone to pummel away at your tired muscles to release tension, then you can choose from a variety of massages, including aromatherapy, sports and swedish. Therapist Daniel explains that each massage he gives is unique, as he tailors it towards the needs of the client. He can provide a simple Swedish massage to aid relaxation, but his interest in physiotherapy and sports means that he often suggests deep tissue massage to deal with people’s aches and pains – particularly back pain and tight shoulders.

As we only have one spine, we need to make the most of it, and Daniel believes it is essential to consider regular massage therapy to ensure that you maintain your body at its optimum fitness. He recommends having a neck, back and shoulder massage at least once per month to keep your posture straight and the knots in your neck away.

And if you have time, and money, to spare, then why not consider treating yourself to a facial, manicure or pedicure, or choose from their range of many beauty and body treatments. You might find that you leave the spa feeling like a new person entirely!

The Re:Spa is situated within the Reebok Sports Club in Canary Wharf – just 5 minutes walk from Canary Wharf tube station. Find out more on their website.
