SmartSenda – The Cards

ss2A little while ago you might remember we told you about a company called SmartSenda and the wonderful service that they have to offer, by way of quirky cards for all occasions.  If you don’t remember, then why not have a little read here first.  If you did read it then here is a little update for you!

We gave the SmartSenda service a little go and wanted to share the results with you.  We had 150 credits, which roughly equates to £7.50.  With these credits we were able to get 5 cards, including delivery and using the free handwriting service too.

Now you can use the website in two ways.  Load up your account with credits and use the free Planna ss1service to order cards in advance which will be written and posted on your behalf in time for the events that you create.  Alternatively, you can order the cards to be sent direct to you, with or without it being pre-written.

There is a large selection of cards to chose from, for many different occasion.  Obviously our first choice was a jewel encrusted, Happy Birthday Skull card.  This is going to be perfect for a lovely tattooed lady we might know, but shhhh it’s a secret! The card is really well made and resembles something hand drawn, expertly.  The little bit of bling makes a real difference to the card, bringing it alive, even though it is a simple black and white image.

Our second choice was the comical Holy Braille card.  It made us laugh and was therefore a non brainer as a choice.  This one was sent with our personal message, handwritten inside, very carefully.  The simplistic design means that the real allure of this card, being the rhyme on the front, is the stand out feature of the card.

ss4The third and final choice we want to share with you, (our final two cards are not yet here as we used the Planna), is one that has a little humour, whilst at the same time is essentially a card that says, ‘I love you’.

All in all SmartSenda is a great way to get cards to your loved ones and to make sure you never forget to send one again!

  1. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
