R2-D2 is an adorable and loyal astromech droid that has served many a hero in the Star Wars universe including Luke Sywalker, Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker.  He is known particularly for delivering Princess Leia’s heartfelt plea for help to Ben Kenobi, better known as Obi Wan Kenobi.

R2-D2 has demonstrate great bravery in the face of adversary, he has even bee a fighter pilot’s assistant!  His usual job is to fix starships and maintain them, but he always ends up trying to help his friends, along with who can only be described as his best mate, C-3PO, a protocol droid that always wants to follow the rules!

You’re a fiesty little one, but you’ll soon learn some respect

r2Show your undying love for the blue and white droid that would be your closest friend, if you could only meet him!  This little fellow has been plastered over many a piece of merchandise over the years, but we have found a fantastic wristband just for you that will not only display just how much this guy means to you, but is strong, funky and oh so stylish.

A blue rubberised band featuring the words Star Wars, has a cool clip on badge of your favourite droid, R2-D2.  Fastening on securely and easily, there is little chance of losing your totem, not only that but if you collect the other bands in the series, you can mix and match them.

No, I don’t think he likes you at all . . . I don’t like you either.

Whilst C-3PO may be conflicted about his friendship with R2-D2, (we all know he is just to shy to show his true feelings), we aren’t!

Taking a nap will never be the same again as you drift off into a deep galactic sleep wearing your very own R2-D2 face mask.  It wil help you black out the forces of the Dark Side and have a peaceful sleep, just like the Jedi that our favourite R2 unit has served so well over the years.

In stunning blue and white, the mask features the droid in all of his glory.

We don’t serve their kind here!70209_1

Wuher at the Mos Eisley Cantina might not serve our mechanical pals, but we certainly would, in fact we would happily serve on one of them.  Okay, so that sounds a bit weird granted but check out this incredible cake stand from Lakeland.

That’s right the cake stand is actually a 3D R2-D2 complete with three shelves on which to place your star sprinkled cupcakes and warp speed wookies cookies.  We wont judge you if you wanted to just use this fantastic way to display afternoon tea, just for you, but we do think it should be shared and would make the perfect centre piece to any Star Wars themed party!

You must repair him! Sir, if any of my circuits or gears will help, I’ll gladly donate them

With proof positive above that C-3PO would really do anything to help his little buddy and ours, it s only fitting that our next favourite R2-D2 themed piece of memorabilia is made from metal.

Cifflinks are always a welcome addition to a stylish suit, but over the years we have seen them become more an more interesting, another way for the man in your life to show his individuality.  These fabulous R2-D2 cufflinks depict the little droid and are rather tasteful, allowing someone to add a little of themselves and Star Wars to their outfit!
