Coming to DVD, Blu-Ray and digital platforms on 9th March 2015 is one of 2014’s critically acclaimed films, The Imitation Game, courtesy of Studio Canal.

OPTD2752_DVD_3DDuring World War II Enigma was Germany’s crowning glory when it came to thwarting the Allies attempts at intercepting and decoding messages that could change the course of the war.  A machine so clever that a task force was formed and headed by one of, if not the greatest mathematical mind of the day, Alan Turing.  The Top Secret Government Code & Cypher School, held at Bletchley Park, where a brilliant team of genius code breakers, endorsed by Winston Churchill himself, battle against the ravages of time and war to break Enigma.

The Imitation Game explores the life of Turing and what drove him and his genius as he designs, builds and tests his mammoth computer, that he hopes will crack Enigma and leave the German war machine reeling.  Picking up key points of Turning’s life throughout the movie, from his time at boarding school and his secret that could, during the England of the 1940s could land him in prison or worse.

Thrilling, intriguing and humorous, whilst capturing the desperation of Wartime England, the edition of a troubled but brilliant mind and the story of one group with the weight of the world upon their shoulders.

THE IMITATION GAMEWith a stand out performance from Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing, Academy, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee and star of Star Trek: Into Darkness and the acclaimed TV show Sherlock, The Imitation Game is a must for all film enthusiasts. Cumberbatch is joined by Keira Knightley star of Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates of the Carribbean, who plays Joan Clarke, his friend and equal, Matthew Goode(Watchmen), Mark Strong (Welcome To The Punch), Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful) and Charles Dance from Game of Thrones.  A cast that features some of the best talent that the UK has to offer.
