The Red Solstice – Game Review

Monsters, Monsters everywhere throughout Halloween. So how about a game full of monsters to end your dead.

Here is a game currently available in early access on PC.

“The Red Solstice” is a tactical 8 player co-op survival game set in the future on Mars. Join the fight and lead your team as you roam freely over large maps, and completing Mission Objectives. The goal is to strategize, survive and conquer by any means necessary.

The goal is to try to survive and conquer by any means necessary.

The advantage is that you Get stronger every time. Level up to unlock new weapons and abilities. Try to survive the storm.

Key Features

Taking command of your troops: Issue commands and set waypoints and objectives for your troops.

Co-operative: With support for 8-player co-op, play as one of 8 distinct, customizable classes. Each with unique abilities and traits.

Randomised Engine: Tackle an onslaught of randomly generated events. From zone defense to supply retrieval, you’re never short of enemies to kill and objectives to complete.

Leveling up your character: Kill to earn experience points and unlock new abilities and classes. Heal allies, deploy turrets, launch grenades, set traps and much more.

Great game requiring teamwork to beat it. It holds allot of its fun in the command and conquer style interface that it uses – it focuses on the troops and not bases.

Best thing about it is the difficulty – this is a game that requires the team to work together to reach their goal. Don’t work well – don’t expect immediate wins.

At the moment the game is still in beta so we won’t focus on the few bad things in the game but will mention them – the startup screen is not to dimension and needs alterations and the chat option is not there yet.

A game relying on co-op must be working on that.

At the moment it is in Beta – the Beta shows off most of the game well – A few niggles so 6/10. We Will update when the game makes full release.
