Third Turn – An Introduction and Sneak Peek

Here at Erisea Mag we are always looking for new and innovative ways to introduce you to content and reviews.  One of our extremely exciting new sections that we will be adding is all about board, card and dice games.  Now, we know what you are thinking, what is there that you don’t know about board, card and dice games that you don’t already?  The short answer is a lot! Gaming in this genre is so much more than you might expect, you have games that have you fighting zombies, some where you need to collect resources and conquer nations, even ones where you work together to achieve the end goal.  Forget Snakes and Ladders, forget Snap and forget Yahtzee, Erisea Mag is about to open your eyes up to a world that you never knew existed…

So, what is Third Turn all about, besides the games themselves?  We will be looking at the game, contents, aims, mechanics, type of game, how many players, the difficulty and actual game play.  Here is the thing though, when you play a new board game you generally spend the first round learning the game, the second getting to grips with it and the third turn, well that is when you really start to play.  This was something we were discussing with a seasoned board game veteran and when asked what he would like to see in a board game review, he said ‘What happens on turn three?‘ It was then that we made the decision to not only do an in depth review of all the games we can get our hands on, but we will do some video reviewing too, showing just what the Third Turn looks like!

We have a whole bunch of impressive and unusual games to share with you over the coming months and lots more on their way, here is a little sneak peek at some of the ones on offer…
