Gotham S02E04 – Arkham – Gordon and Bullock chase a serial killer – killing on both sides of a gang war.
The Originals S02E04 – Live or Let Die.
Saving Hope – S02E14 – Alex and a mystery stranger – get tangled in a situation.
This episode opens with the Penguin at Gordon’s front door. Penguin plays to Gordon and Barbara has no clue who he is. Penguin performs the transformations of his role well – the sub servant to Gordon role but with low level bad guys he is evil as ever. Playing on peoples weaknesses is his strength. Penguin’s role seems to be to get Maroni to go into the full mob war against Falcone.
Meanwhile, Fish Mooney is looking to find her secret weapon – she first auditions singers who must be gifted in the art of seduction and must have a violent streak. A secret weapon to use as her spy against Falcone. The highlight of the episode is the cat-fight at the end.
Gordon meanwhile has more than Cobblepot’s return to deal with, Barbara wants the truth but Gordon is reluctant to talk as she went to the papers straightaway. Who can Gordon confide in without that burden of them telling someone?
The second aspect of the show is the serial killer on the loose – Gladwell is killing people on both sides of the vote for Arkham. Gladwell is the villain of the week and is performed well in his role. Gordon has his showdown at the end of the episode with Gladwell – who is trying to kill the Major at the end. Gordon is successful with the last minute assistance of Bullock.
Bruce seems to be falling down a track when he looks into Arkham – his parents wanted a asylum but that plan is mob run. Bruce is becoming more and more Batman by becoming the sleuth before he grows up.
Conclusion – Maroni wins the vote after threatening the Major. Penguin is been performed well and Gordon’s partnership with Bullock is becoming a good aspect of the show.
Weird direction but it set the battle lines further down. The wolves are divided, the vampires are divided – what next?
The main story evolves the expanding dynamic between Esther’s wolves and Marcel’s vampires. The wolves are told to get the vampires out the city.
Werewolves then on orders of Esther (now in the body of Lenore), attack the vampires to settle the score. Moonlight rings mean the vampires are at a disadvantage. Elijah is here to help them out.
Elijah trains the vampires – Gia in particular.
With the training of new vampires – Esther plans the next steps. The teens of the wolf pack who have not turned (they have to kill once to turn), are told to kill. The bigger the pack – the bigger the army.
Aiden – the leader of the attack on the vampires – asks the vamps for help later on.
Where is Jackson? – the original alpha male in the pack of wolves.
Elijah now caught by Esther’s wolves. Strung up and about to get purified.
Alex has just finished her shift and sees a person in the garage unable to find his car. Alex tries to help him – then he gets hits by a passing car. Zack and the ER Crew come to help straight away he is on the timer. If his heart stops for a certain length of time – brain death.
Meanwhile, through out Charlie is with Gavin talking about the Ghosts. Gavin has put Charlie on some drugs to cope with the ghosts.
Alex’s patient circles the drain throughout the episode. He heart stops on the route to the Hospital ER – via the Garage, and the operating room twice. She is very effected when he finally dies – but Dr Bell had to call it at the 43 min off.
Charlie while with Gavin avoids the ER – and other areas with dead/nearly dead people so he does not see ghosts. Gavin makes him go to the operating viewing room and he sees a ghost. Gavin looks dumb founded. They talk it out – the ghost is clouded by the drugs that Charlie is on.
Overall – The episode had an interesting dynamic with both lead characters trying to find out their new role in life.
A good week of television. – More to come next week
