We recently got the chance to try out two of the latest flavours from the Tyrells Range for a weekly family session. So this has many opinions rounded into one review. So – if you were ever unsure about Tyrells – read on….
Coronation Chicken Crisps
As the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations complete, Tyrrells, the premium hand-cooked English crisp company, has rolled out a Coronation Chicken flavoured summer seasonal in honour of Her Majesty’s magnificent milestone.
Coronation Chicken is an iconic British flavour, based on the delicious pairing of roast chicken and mild curry. The dish was originally created especially for the Queen’s coronation in 1953, and now Tyrrells has brought it back for a limited time only, using real chicken and curry flavours for a fruity, fresh and fragrant combination. The perfect addition to street party spreads and picnics, especially around the Queen’s 90th birthday, Coronation Chicken crisps will be available from April through to October.
Hand-cooked in small batches, using locally-grown Herefordshire potatoes, Coronation Chicken is available from Waitrose and Ocado with an RRP of £2.00 for 150g sharing bag and £0.75 for 40g on the go pack.
Have to say, most were not a fan of the average bag of coronation chicken but this packed in a good amount of flavour. The crisp was a good starter snack for our night and a perfect pairing with a selection of dips. Good dippables because the crisps are not uniform in size and the bigger ones were a dream for the dips.
On their own – they are great. With a dip – they are super.
Strawberries & Cream Poshcorn
The quintessential tennis snack turned into popcorn or Tyrells’s “Poshcorn”. This limited edition snack is available throughout the summer and aims to be the perfect snack for Wimbledon.
Carefully popped in small batches at Tyrrells Court Farm using gold standard corn kernels, Tyrrells all-natural Strawberries & Cream seasoning is applied to a base of delicious golden caster sugar-coated popcorn to give you the perfect bowl-full whilst watching the tennis.
Available in 75g sharing bags and 22g individual packs, what better way to celebrate the British summer season than by enjoying this most British of snacks; Tyrrells Strawberries & Cream Poshcorn. Anyone for doubles?
Tyrrells’ Strawberries & Cream Poshcorn will be available from 1st March throughout the summer in supermarkets nationwide, with an RRP of £1.59 for 75g sharing bag and £0.79p for 22g packs
Moreish or what. One of the main snacks for our session and it hit the pallet greatly. It is so packed with flavour and it’s combination of strawberry and cream flavour we could definitely taste. Once the bag was open it was gone quickly!!
