Up In The Clouds

There is something enjoyable about looking back at the lives we have lived and finding connections that other people also have with their past, it is a bond we didn’t know we had, but can completely understand.  Seeing a post on Facebook about ‘You know you were born in the 90s when…’ grabs your attention, you want to see what you remember and then share it with your friends.  Nostalgia, it gets us all eventually.

Another thing that people tend to bond over is food and we all love to share a meal with our nearest and dearest, especially on a special occasion.  It would be great to combine the two right?  Nostalgic reminiscing over a good meal?  We know just the place…

Cloud 23

In Manchester’s Hilton Hotel there is a bar called Cloud 23, a unique place to spend the afternoon, or evening, you see Cloud 23 is on the 23rd floor with panoramic views of Manchester from every single window, it is stunning.

Cloud 23 do a range of Afternoon Teas, a wonderful way to spend time with a loved one.  The one that caught our eye was the Nostalgic Afternoon Tea.

Full of sweet treats and fabulous fanciful food, the Nostalgic Afternoon Tea leads you down a winding memory lane.  Every mouthful is a trigger for remembering years gone by, a childhood that we thought forgotten and a pure enjoyment of food like never before.

Nostalgic Afternoon Tea comes presented on a sleek cake stand.  It is packed full of delicious morsels…

5A Pick’n’Mix of sweets such as Black Jacks and Fruit Salads, Lemon Sherbet Macaroons, Mushroom Vol au Vent, Mini Hot Dog, Quiche Lorraine, Chocolate Button Brownie Cupcakes, Peanut Butter Sandwich and much more.  It even comes with a cocktail, ‘The Drumstick Fizz Whizz’ which, as Cloud 23 say is ‘a long refreshing sipper to ease your mind and take you back to your childhood.’

It’s a mouth-watering selection and it doesn’t matter if you have allergies or special dietary requirements, the team at Cloud 23 are happy to accommodate you.  When we went one of our Nostalgic Afternoon Teas, was completely gluten-free!  As well as the delicious food, filled with flavour and memories, and the view, which on the day of our visit was so clear you could see for miles, the staff were amazing.

We were served by the charismatic Said.  This man was attentive to every single customer that he had and from every table he served came laughter and beaming smiles.  Said made our visit perfect, he treated us like long-lost friends welcoming us with open arms!

You can book your table at Cloud 23 now and have an Afternoon Tea that will not only take you by the hand and lead you down memory lane, but will leave you with a lasting memory that you can treasure, forever.

Priced at £38 per adult and £15 per child (11 and under). Available until May 31, 2015

  1. Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m
thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring
blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for newbie blog writers?
    I’d genuinely appreciate it.

  2. Can I simply say what a comfort to discover an individual who genuinely knows what they are talking about
online. You actually know how to bring a problem to light and make it important.
A lot more people ought to read this and understand this side of the story.
I was surprised that you are not more popular given that you definitely
    have the gift.

  3. Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on blogs
I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It’s always exciting to read through articles
from other writers and practice something from their sites.
