VYNCE – EP Review – Lust

Bold, cinematic and infectious, Liverpool’s VYNCE come flying out of the stalls with those vocal hooks and some brilliant guitar riffs to debut ‘Lust’ EP.

Vynce have been honing that performance skill and developing better and better sounds to release this debut EP. They have been performing in the live setting with bands like Prides, Fickle Friends, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Blossoms and JAWS.  Identifying where their style is was key and it sounds like they found it…

The band consists of Peter Pegasiou (lead vox, guitar), Jack Kelsey (vox, guitar), Conor O’Shea (vox, bass) and Tom Davis (drums), aged between 20 and 22.

EP Review

We were not expecting this to fall onto our lap but it certainly holds the good.

Title track “Lust” hits the beats perfectly and sets the tone for the full EP.  Holding a fast loud start to moving to a fast paced quieter section shows off the vocal range of the band.

“Fall for you” follows a different path and varies well enough from the title track. It takes you to those indie romantic films where tracks like this would set the tone.  Probably our favourite off the EP.

“Taste” has a good bouncy indie beat echoing back to classic indie bands, it didn’t quite hit the memorable memories on initial listen but its a grower.

For a starting look its pretty good.  Expect more as they are now on tour in April – We rate the EP Highly – 4/5

4 out of 5
