About the company

Little’s was born 25 years ago, after American Henry, met his Finnish wife Leila whilst studying. Their plan was to bring together the traditional Finnish coffee culture with American style flavours and get everyone drinking more exciting coffee. Their dream gre from  Scandinavia to the UK when they moved their family here in 1995. William, their son and his wife Caroline are the next generation of Little’s, driving the brand forward with their love for coffee and the brand they have grown up with. With a new family inspired re-design and a continued passion to produce the finest quality products, using the best Arabica in each jar, Little’s are here to liven up your cup.

The tasting

Being given the opportunity to sample coffee, something which I drink plenty of, how could I refuse. On the 22nd of April 2015 there was a knock at the door. As I gratefully received the parcel I opened it, with no idea what it was. This was my first experience of seeing the Little’s coffee brand. A new brand on me so I was dubious, but continue reading you will see that I wasn’t dubious for long. 

I decided to opt first for the French Vanilla infused coffee. Upon opening the jar the smell of a high quality vanilla infused coffee filled up my senses, somewhat over powering was the initial smell, I thought it may be an overriding flavour when I sampled my first cup. Wrong again. The coffee itself was smooth, smelt like a coffee shop in my kitchen, such is the quality of the coffee, reflecting the passion  experience of the family run brand to produce only the best infused coffee. Then your palate is given a sensational experience by the very subtle after notes of the French Vanilla. Not overpowering as I thought it might be, I was impressed that a family run business could create a product of superior quality like that of other big brands.

Offering flavours such as French Vanilla, Chocolate orange, Amaretto and a rich Hazelnut, all of which have no added sugar, gluten free and only 4 calories a cup, you feel like you are indulging in a speciality coffee in every cup.
