What can we do with a bottle of Gin?

Want ideas about Gin and how to use it well? Read on….

The Gin we used was Greenalls.  It’s the time to experiment and try some good concoctions to have fun and have parties.  Don’t crack open a 6 pack of lager – why not try cocktails?

Greenalls French 75

Champagne with the extra kick. It packs a punch and will work well at evening summer parties.

1 measure Greenall’s gin

Juice of half a lemon

1tsp caster sugar

Put the gin (or cognac), lemon juice and sugar into a champagne glass or, ideally, a champagne saucer. Stir well until the sugar has dissolved and then top up with champagne.

Greenalls Gin and Tonic

 The traditional Gin and Tonic.

“A Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin and tonic is the classic British cocktail and perfect to enjoy at any time.”

The tonic’s bitterness of the tonic balanced by the citrus tones works well. It’s good to test out and find out the balance that works for you.

50ml Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin
100ml good quality tonic water
2 lime wedges

Fill a tall, chilled glass with ice

Squeeze the juice of one lime wedge over the ice to infuse the flavours

Pour Greenall’s Gin slowly over the ice and then add the tonic

Stir gently to combine the flavours, and garnish with a wedge of lime

Greenalls Gin Fizz

Similiar to a G+T but with soda water and sugar syrup.

100ml Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin
50ml freshly-squeezed lemon juice
40ml gomme (sugar syrup)
Soda water

Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into an ice-filled glass, top up with soda water. Garnish
with the lemon slice and mint sprig.

 Greenalls Negroni

The weirder one to try. It works though – takes a bit of forward planning.

20ml Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin
20ml Campari Bitter
20ml Martini Rosso

Pour all the ingredients into an ice-filled glass and stir. Garnish with an orange twist.

Have fun and relax. Try to be different at your parties or even just for yourself. Have a good summer – we intend to…
