Rebellion have announced that they are planning in 4 Sniper Elite projects and yes one of them includes a followup to BAFTA nominated Sniper Elite 4.
In a update video (link at the bottom), they specifically went into details for the fans of the series. Rebellion CEO and Co-Founder Jason Kingsley OBE confirmed that 4 projects are currently in development:
- Sniper Elite V2 Remastered – Which will bring 1945 Berlin to current platforms with a host of new visuals and features.
- Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition on Switch – The Nintendo Platform will get the game series finally!!
- A Standalone Sniper Elite Game for VR!! – This is currently been made in partnership with independent British Studio “Just Add Water” – best known for the Oddworld and Gravity Crash Series of games.
- The next major title in the Sniper Elite Series – following in the footsteps of Sniper Elite 4, is in progress now.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered – Will be launching on all current gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One and Switch) and PC, planned for this year. It will offer enhanced graphics, 4K Resolution and a HDR Display.
Expected more playable characters, a “photo mode”, expanded online multiplayer up to 16 people on supported platforms.
Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition – is currently also on route to the Switch in 2019. It will offer the same intense sniping in the soaring temperatures of the story mode. This will include all the previous additional content that was added and a new Switch Exclusive local wireless multiplayer and motion controls too!!.
Overall Thoughts
Cannot wait. We will be tipping our hat if all of them work well, taking more risks and planning to do more is always a good thing. Two of them are remasters but that does not mean it gonna be a half job – they will put their all into it. Good luck to them.
