We spent the last few days trying to find something different to watch and we found ourselves drawn to Floor is Lava. A show with a simple premise and a good light vibe to it – worth a try?

Floor is Lava

One of the childhood games you might of played up-scaled to Total Wipeout levels of fun and wackiness.  The game focuses of 3 contestant team trios all wanting to win – all they have to do is reach the exit.  Fall in and you are eliminated, most team members to the exit in the fastest time wins.

Teams compete to navigate rooms flooded with lava by leaping from chairs, hanging from curtains and swinging from chandeliers.

Each room will tend to have three different main paths through the room, leading to some good moments to see. Each path will need different skills to tackle – but the funny thing is, contestants do not always pick the right person for the right task.

To win the game – they have to get the most people to the exit with the tie breaker being who gets there quicker. Leading to some tense rounds.

Overall Thoughts

We watched 3 episodes in the evening and it is good solid light entertainment. Good family show with the target being the Total Wipeout style audience. It does not have the amount of wipeouts of that show but it still has some cracking ones.

With the world still in Lockdown – its definitely worth a try of episode 1.  Solid 3/5 Show
