Are you on the lookout for a FMV Game with a psychological edge. How about Night Book?
With interactive movies, it is all about the story. This story is all about the ongoing struggles of Loralyn. Loralyn is tricked into reading an ancient book which summons a demon into her home.
This story has being published by the same publishers behind other FMV games The Complex, Five Dates and Maid of Sker.
The game is a interactive movie with branching narratives and multiple endings. With 15 possible ending variations and 220 scenes in total to try and find – this story will take you for a journey.
This was filmed remotely by all the cast during the pandemic lockdown. It also stars Julie Dray (Cyberpunk 2077) and Colin Salmon (Resident Evil, Arrow, Mortal Engines).
This is a game that you will either love or hate. It is a multi-choice game where you may take a wrong turn and not even realise that the decision you made was important.
However the game is a real strong “B” level psychological thriller movie with the game elements of choices thrown in. Like the previous game Five Dates, this was filmed in Lockdown and it is quite evident.
Without spoiling the game story – it may take you down a path that you do not like, stick it out knowing you can always try it again. We got a good and a bad ending but found enjoyment, tension and some strange vibes throughout.
